UniPrint Client for Windows XP - download and installation instructions

 

The UniPrint Client delivers printed output as an image file.

Windows XP - Professional is the only version supported.

Before starting:

  1. Ensure your IT provider is available to assist you with this process as this installation requires the User Account Control to be disabled, and Administrator rights.
  2. Print these instructions.
  3. Ensure you have installed Citrix ICA Client (12.1) first.

Note: Appearance of screenshots may differ due to display settings.

Download the UniPrint Client
Purpose Install the UniPrint Client
Alert You must have installed Citrix ICA Client before installing UniPrint Client. If not, please return to Software downloads to download the Citrix ICA client.

Please note Windows Installer 3.1 and .NET 2 are required before installing UniPrint Client.
Step Description

  • A File Download – Security Warning screen will appear
  • Choose Save this program to disk
  • Click OK
  • Choose an appropriate location to save the file to. (Take note of the location and filename)
Note We recommend using the "Save to disk" option as it means that you will not need to download the installation file a second time if you need to reinstall this software on your computer or another computer in the organisation.

  • Click Open

  • Click Next

  • Click Next

  • Do not change the default settings. Note that the screen may differ from those shown below
  • Click Next

  • Click Finish to complete the software download

Alert! You must restart your computer to fully complete the installation process
Note Changing your printing options
After the new UniPrint Client is installed, you can change the printing options by double clicking the small UniPrint icon down on the right hand corner of your task bar.

This will open the settings screen and allow you to choose the printing options that best suit your needs.
