Landonline computer hardware and software requirements

 

The requirements information below should be read in conjunction with IT and system requirements for using Landonline and System support – what LINZ supports.

Operating Systems and Browser

It is essential to have the right operating systems and web browser on your computer. LINZ has a specific policy in relation to the operating systems and browsers that it supports.

Operating Systems

LINZ supports Landonline software running on:

  • Windows 7 – Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate
  • Windows Vista - Business and Ultimate
  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional

Note: check you have the latest service packs installed as they contain updates such as security. Older editions and Home editions are not supported.

Non-Windows systems (e.g., Mac OS, Linux) are not supported.

Citrix and Terminal Service environments. Citrix and Terminal Services environments can be configured to use Landonline. Support may be provided for these environments if resources allow. See Additional software installation instructions for Citrix and Terminal Services environments for more information.

Browsers

LINZ supports Landonline software working with:

  • Internet Explorer 9
  • Internet Explorer 8
  • Internet Explorer 7

LINZ cannot guarantee that Digital Certificates will work successfully in organisations that do not use supported web browsers. Some web browsers do not work with Digital Certificates. Also see Enabling Landonline to run with Internet Explorer.

Landonline Software

You will need to download the following software to use Landonline:

  • Citrix ICA Client
  • Uniprint Client
  • Landonline Client Components
  • Digital Signing Components (for users with signing rights)
  • Landonline Print-to-TIFF driver

The Print-to-TIFF driver creates TIFF images from your own application software for supporting Landonline documents. This software removes the need to print and scan your own documents before attaching them to Landonline transactions.

Alert! Before installing any software, we strongly recommend you or your IT support staff or service provider read the complete IT and system requirements for using Landonline to ensure your current IT environment is able to run Landonline.

Non-Landonline software

When planning your investment in software, you also need to consider the best firewall, antivirus and anti-spyware software. These types of software are part of managing risk to your firm along with ensuring that staff follow security-conscious work practises. LINZ does not provide support for non-Landonline software.

PC System Hardware

Your computer hardware must meet the minimum specifications for your chosen Operating system and browser.

Monitor

Landonline displays best if your screen resolution is set to 1024 x 768.

There are some screens that require this setting to display correctly and, as more functionality is added, more screens will fall into this category. If you use lower screen resolutions (e.g. 800 x 600), a scrollbar will appear on the right hand side enabling you to scroll up and down.
