UniPrint Client for Windows 7 and Vista Users - download and installation instructions

The UniPrint Client for Windows 7 and Vista delivers printed output as an image file.

Windows 7 32 bit - Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate are the only versions supported.

Vista 32 bit - Business and Ultimate are the only versions supported.

Before starting:

  1. Ensure your IT provider is available to assist you with this process as this installation requires the User Account Control to be disabled, and Administrator rights.
  2. Print these instructions.
  3. Ensure you have installed Citrix ICA Client (10.200.2650) first.

Note: Appearance of screenshots may differ due to display settings.

Installation tasks - this requires you to have Administrator rights

  • Login to your PC with an Account with Local Administrator rights
  • To disable the User Account Control, navigate to Control Panel/User Accounts and uncheck the box.

Uncheck the box "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer"
Note

Please remember to enable this box again when the installation has finished.

  • A File Download – Security Warning screen will appear
  • Choose Save this program to disk
  • Click OK
  • Choose an appropriate location to save the file to. (Take note of the location and filename)
Note We recommend using the "Save to disk" option as it means that you will not need to download the installation file a second time if you need to reinstall this software on your computer or another computer in the organisation.

  • Once the file has downloaded, open it from the location that you saved it to.
Note You must be logged in with Administrator rights for this installation.

  • When prompted with the Security Warning screen, click Run to install.

  • Click Next

  • Select "I accept the license agreement" click "Next"

  • Select "Anyone who uses this computer" click "Next"

Note: If these options are unable to be changed, cancel the installation and contact your IT provider.  Installation requires the User Account Control to be disabled.  If you proceed uniprint will not work.

  • Click Next

  • Click Next

  • Wait for the installation to complete.

  • Click "Finish"

Return to Software download instructions and proceed to STEP 3.
