How to check and change your screen resolution
Purpose Check and change your screen resolution so that it is at least at Landonline's minimum recommended setting, 1024x768.
Note In some environments, you may not be able to change your display settings yourself

If this is the case, please contact your IT support staff or service provider for assistance
Step Description
1 Click the Start button at the bottom left of your screen
2 Hover your cursor over the Settings button
3 Choose the Control Panel option
4 Click the Display icon

  • The Display Properties window will appear
  • Click the Settings tab

  • To change the screen resolution, move the slider in the Screen area until it displays the recommended resolution, 1024 by 768 pixels

  • Click OK to apply the changes

Making fonts appear larger

How to make fonts appear larger
Purpose Make fonts appear larger if you find them too small when you have your resolution set to 1024 x 768
Note In some environments, you may not be able to change your display settings yourself

If this is the case, please contact your IT support staff or service provider for assistance
Step Description

  • In the Display Properties window (above, where you changed your screen resolution settings), select the button

  • In the Properties window that appears, under Font Size choose Large Fonts
  • Click OK

  • In Internet Explorer, click the View menu
  • Scroll down to Text Size
  • Choose a larger size than your current setting

Screen resolution and Windows Terminal Services

If you operate in a terminal services environment, we recommend you arrange for your IT support staff or service provider to change your screen resolution for you. Depending on your particular system, it may not be possible.

The general steps that need to be followed are:

  1. End your terminal services session
  2. Change the screen resolution on your computer, as above
  3. Change the resolution in your terminal services/remote desktop client (to 1024x768 or full screen), and
  4. Log back in to your terminal services session.

If you experience any difficulties, please talk to your IT support staff or support provider.
