Scanners & scanning software compatible* with Landonline

Images that are attached to dealings must be in the correct file format. Both the scanner and the scanning software (if applicable) must be able to produce the image in the required format.

Does your firm need a scanner?

For the rare occasions where the information required to complete an e-dealing transaction is only in a paper format, you will need to scan the document.

You have a number of options to scan the document...

• Scan it into the correct file format so that you can upload the image to Landonline (see Adding information within Lodge dealings). If you have a scanner, check to see if it meets the recommended minimum requirements, or
• Scan it into an electronic format and use the LINZ software to convert your image into the correct file format. You should ensure that your scanner can scan multiple pages into a single file and to the necessary quality (see the recommended minimum requirements for dpi), or
• Arrange to have your document scanned by a third party provider into the correct file format so that you can upload the image to Landonline.

* This section lists scanner models and scanning software titles that, when configured correctly, are known to LINZ to be able to produce files that are compatible with Landonline. This information was provided to LINZ by those scanner manufacturers who responded to a Request for Information (RFI) process. It only represents a portion of compatible scanners and scanning software.

Many more scanners and scanning software may be compatible with Landonline but are not reported here. Your organisation will need to decide which scanning solution best suits your needs. If you already have a scanner that doesn’t meet our recommended minimum requirements, you will need to ensure that it can scan multiple pages into a single file and to the necessary quality (see the recommended minimum requirements for dpi). You may have to convert your electronic file into the correct file format before you can upload your image into Landonline.

• Support Landonline's required image format
• Are compatible with Landonline's required operating systems
• Have manufacturer, distributor, or retailer support for installation, configuration, and scanning
• Are business-class solutions that have a recommended retail price greater than $500
