Information about 64 bit operating systems, including Windows 7
If you intend to purchase a PC that will be used for accessing Landonline you need to be aware that most vendors choose the 64 bit installation option when pre-installing higher end versions of Windows 7. Landonline software is not compatible with 64 bit Windows 7, so it is important that you specify that you require the 32 bit option preinstalled instead.
If you have already purchased your PC and it has 64 bit Windows 7 installed, you will need to reinstall the 32 bit option yourself. All packaged retail editions of Windows 7 (except for Home Basic) include both 32-bit and 64-bit installation discs, however if you did not receive installation discs as part of the purchase, you will need to ask the vendor to either supply the 32 bit discs, or to perform the reinstallation on your behalf. If you have a laptop or PC with a Restore partition you should consult with your vendor to determine the most appropriate reinstallation process.
For further information about switching between 32 bit and 64 bit options refer to the following Microsoft article: Can I upgrade from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or from a 64-bit version of Windows 7 to a 32-bit version of Windows?
