Manually install or renew your Digital Certificate - Stage 2

• This stage of installation downloads your DC
• The DC will be stored in your firm’s system web browser as well as in your LINZ Certificates folder

• Open Internet Explorer

• Click on the following link to open the certificate page in a new window
  https://shrweb1.betrusted.net/cda-cgi/clientcgi?action=browserCert
• Alternatively, copy and paste the link into your browser address bar (as shown below), and press Enter on your keyboard.

• Before the page loads you may see the screen below
• If the screen appears, click Yes
• If you do not see this screen, you will automatically be taken to the next screen

• Select Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider v1.0 from the CSP drop down list

• Enter your DC Reference Number
• Enter your DC Authorisation Code
• Please note: Your DC Authorisation Code MUST be entered in upper case only and MUST include hyphens. Your DC Authorisation Code and how to obtain your Reference Number are included in the email sent to you by the Registration Authority.

• Click Submit Request

• Click Yes

• You may see the screen below. If the screen appears, click OK

• Click Yes

• If you can see the web site screen shown below, you have successfully imported your DC into the web browser

You have now completed importing your DC into your web browser

• If you cannot see this text, or if you see any errors on this page, please call the Registration Authority team on 0800 ONLINE (0800 665 463) - select option 4 - for immediate assistance
• DO NOT close the DC window or the file

You need to export your Private Key from the Web Browser into your C:/ drive folder. See link below.
