Detailed Information on changes to Landonline following 2.3 release

3 November 2003: Detailed Information on changes to Landonline following 2.3 release

The 2.3 release is another opportunity for LINZ to make some enhancements and system changes to Landonline. These changes are listed below (with screen shots where possible) for users to become familiar with the changes.

Abbreviations
SCR - System Change Request (suggestions from internal and external users)
MAR - Maintenance Amendment Request
TPR - Test Problem Reports

Note - screen shots have been taken from data used in testing the Landonline application - some of the minor detail (eg dealing numbers) may not match the production environment.

MAR TPR Description Business Area Comments - including notes on likely instances where screen shots of eDealing processing may need to be updated Screen shots affected?
MAR
MAR 254 Workspace - Deleting multiple messages from "My Messages" Inbox. Infra-structure Functionality should be added to Workspace to enable users to delete more than one online message at a time from their "My Messages" Inbox. The functionality will work in a similar fashion to Microsoft Explorer in that multiple messages can be highlighted in a group using the 'Shift' key or selected messages can be highlighted, using the 'CTRL' key and the existing 'Delete button will then be used to remove the highlighted messages. No

MAR
MAR 292 Searching for Supplementary Record Sheet Registers (SRS) using Unit Plan Numbers as a search key Titles Currently the SRS cannot be searched upon directly and can only be found by searching and displaying a related unit title or the unit plan in the Searches tree. This change will allow SRS titles to be searched by appellation in the Search Title screen. When a Title search is completed by using an appellation (ie a legal description) of say Unit A DP 123456, the unit title and the SRS title will be returned. The SRS title can then be either printed directly, or added to the Searches Tree and viewed and printed. No

Search

The above screen shot shows search results for unit titles as they will work with the 2.3 release. A title has been searched for by the appellation displayed and on returning a result in the Search results screen Landonline has also listed the SRS title. The SRS will be displayed with all unit title searches.

It is then possible to print the SRS directly from this screen or ‘Select’ it and add it to the Search Tree.

Note - prior to the 2.3 release a print of a unit title with diagram included:

  • the unit title
  • the diagram
  • the SRS

This has not been changed.

TPR

4732 Mortgagor details are currently not able to be entered in the Prepare Mortgage screen where the title in the dealing is subject to a Domestic Violence Legislation restriction. Titles It is currently not possible to register an eMortgage instrument against a title subject to a Domestic Violence Legislation (DVL) order. It is currently necessary for such an instrument to be registered manually. Landonline code will be corrected to fix this problem
(related to following TPR 4926)
No

Prepare Mortgage

When a Mortgage is prepared affecting a title subject to a DVL restriction as in the above scenario, the Mortgagor details do not pre-populate and it is necessary to manually add them. The error that is currently preventing this from happening is to be corrected.

TPR
4926 The Mortgage Wizard screen does not allow entry of a Mortgagor against a title subject to a Domestic Violence Legislation restriction. Titles As noted in TPR 4732 it is not currently possible to create an eMortgage against a title subject to a Domestic Violence Legislation order, and this TPR will address the problem that the Mortgage Wizard also currently does not work for this same scenario.
(related to prior 4732)
No

Create dealing

The above screen shot shows how the Prepare mortgage Wizard is accessed and as mentioned above, following the 2.3 release it will be possible to create a mortgage against a ‘DVL’ title using the wizard.

TPR
4849 When changing a multi party mortgage to a single party mortgage the role details do not display correctly Titles If an eMortgage instrument has been created in 'multi party' mode (ie different parties act for the mortgagor and mortgagee roles) and it is then changed to 'single party' mode, Message 28052 displays: "This will delete the instrument. Do you wish to continue? Yes/No?". Currently if NO is selected the parties field will change to single party but both the mortgagors and mortgagees representatives remain showing in the Roles when only the mortgagors representative should be shown. This TPR will result in the automatic removal of the inappropriate role when the parties are changed No

Create Dealing

Following the implementation of the above change, only the Mortgagors representative role details will remain when the Parties field is changed from ‘Multi’ to ‘Single’.

TPR
4877 Workspace Detail Information display for transferee truncating long names. Titles When a name is entered in the Create Transfer screen that is longer than the width of the Detail Information display screen for Instruments and Dealings in workspace, the name wraps around to the next line, but the last few characters of the names on the first line do not display. The width of the data window is not correctly set and this will be corrected. The error relates to the display of transferee names in Workspace and does not affect the names displayed in the Prepare Transfer screen, nor in Searches once the instrument is registered, nor are any other eInstruments affected. Unlikely

Draft Instrument details

The above screenshot demonstrates the current display error where the last characters of a word in a very long name are not displayed. The field settings once corrected will prevent this display issue occurring.

TPR
5022 "Expiry of eDealing" message attachment corrupted. Titles When an eDealing is deleted from workspace (Note it is first made dormant after a period of 60 days from the last edit, followed by a further 60 day period before deletion) a message is sent to the customer advising them of this and attached to the message is are images of the dealing and instrument details. The image of deleted dealing details is currently showing an array of numbers in error instead of the Dealing View (as seen from Workspace) No

The attachment to the message will be corrected to display information in the same format as it is seen in Workspace via the Detail Information tab eg -

View Dealing details

TPR
5057 An eDealing discharging the same mortgage multiple times can be submitted and is then queued for lack of mandatory data. Titles It is possible (although unlikely) that this scenario could occur. Business rules will be implemented that will run a check when a mortgage number is entered in the Prepare Discharge screen to ensure that the mortgage number entered for discharging has not already been entered in another Prepare Discharge screen in the same dealing. No

Draft instrument details

In the dealing highlighted in Workspace shown in the above screen shot, it has been possible to create two discharges both referencing the same mortgage number for discharge. This will not be possible once the new fix is introduced as a message will display when the same number is entered multiple times in separate discharge screens in the same dealing.
