The diagram below shows the simple process surveyors follow to prepare and request a Territorial Authority (TA) Certification for their e-survey online.
The surveyor:
- Creates the TA e-certification.
- Notifies the TA.
The tasks you perform for Territorial Authority (TA) Certifications are:
- Display the TA Certification tab
- Prepare a TA Certification package online
- Request a TA Certification online
- Check TA Certification progress online
- Attach a paper TA Certification
- Attach a TA Certification after submission or approval of an e-survey
The TA then:
- Signs the TA e-certification.

Preparing and requesting manual TA certification of a submitted e-survey
When a TA cannot perform online certification they will send you a paper TA certification. Any TA certifications required for an e-survey must be attached as supporting documents.
To attach a TA certification:
- Scan the TA certification.
- Attach the image as a supporting document to the e-survey. Select Territorial Authority (TA) Certificate as the Document Type.
