The following thread has been transferred from the messageboard.
Simon Jenkin 13/08/2006 A word to the wise, the pre-allocation numbers for paper plans (from the LINZ office)cannot be subsequently used for e-lodgement, similarly, creating a survey within your own computer generates numbers which can only be used for an e-survey.
That is, you have to decide at pre-allocation stage whether it is to be a paper or an e-survey. If you chnge your mind as to how the survey is to be lodged, new pre-allocations will be necssary!
This is very significant if you send the numbers to the lawyer! If there is a way to retain lodgement flexibility once the pre-allocations are made, I would like to hear about it.

Jan Lawrence LINZ 03/10/2006 Landonline does not allow for the interchange of plan numbers between e-surveys and manual surveys. If a manual survey has a pre-allocated number it cannot be accessed via e-survey as it was not created in e-survey. If an e-survey is pre-allocated and not used, it can either be deleted or used for another e-survey. There is no expiry date for a pre-allocated number.
