If a landxml file is not correctly formatted it is possible to upload a dataset having new marks without an associated new plan number. This omission results in a survey requisition. My question is - Does the preval report pick this up anywhere and if not - why not? It would be a very simple test to confirm that all marks have plan numbers associated with them at the time the preval is run.

Currently, there is no Landonline rule to make this a pre-validation test. Missing plan references are a Landonline integration issue and hence an e-survey will be requisitioned as R150-e-survey capture not correct if plan numbers are missing.

An e-survey enhancement has been raised to auto-populate the new plan reference against all new marks upon import to XML files. This will be implemented depending on the prioritisation of enhancements for future releases.

Customers are advised in the meantime to ensure all new marks have a plan reference added either in 3rd party software (pre-allocate Landonline plan number early on prior to doing the survey in 3rd party software) or after importing the XML file, then adding all the new plan references against all new marks. This can be done with more ease in the Traverse/Bdy Capture screen where once the plan reference has been added it can be copied and pasted against the remaining new marks.
