The following thread has been transferred from the messageboard.
Hugh Gilberd MWH 9/10/2006 It is certainly a step in the right direction to notify requisitions by email but why aren't the requisitions available when the email is received? Why do we have to wait and keep trying the messages until they appear? If they show on the messages then they should be available.

Jan Lawrence LINZ 11/10/2006 The e-mail is generated and sent out immediately after the Approving Surveyor clicks on the 'Requisition' button. The actual notice of the Requisition relies on the batch cycle to set it up and send it out to the surveyor's Workspace. This not instant like the e-mail delivery, as batch cycles are scheduled to run every 10 minutes. You may have to wait for the batch server to generate, send and make viewable the image in 'My Messages' in Workspace.

Hugh Gilberd MWH 12/10/2006 Thanks for the feed back Jan. 10 minutes we can live with, just, but 4 hours as occured on Tuesday is not acceptable. The explanation that the batches failed to run is acceptable but should be monitored closely. With e-survey so many of the requisitions are so minor and can be fixed in seconds it is frustrating to wait to be able to up lift the requisition. The other option is for the AS not to send out the email until the batch is run. The same thing occurs with approvals - often the images are not there when you get the approval advice.

Jan Lawrence LINZ 12/10/2006 Following the 2.8 release there was an issue with the time lag between the requisition notices and being able to view requisitions. This issue has now been resolved and normal batch cycles mentioned in my earlier posting should apply.
