e-survey best practice
Since Landonline e-survey was developed, LINZ has regularly published information and updates to help surveyors make the most of the system.
This section includes Tips and Hints which span a wide range of topics of interest to surveyors. These are being added to each month, and have been ordered alphabetically to form a full index to make them easy to scan through.
To help you use e-survey as effectively and efficiently as possible, we have created three new categories of information:
- e-survey Technical Best Practice includes tips, hints and links to articles and web pages to help users make the most of e-survey's functionality
- Survey Integration Best Practice has tips, hints and links to articles and web pages focused on how to best get the various survey types into e-survey
- Surveying information contains more general surveying and related topics that users need to stay aware of, such as survey rules updates, rulings etc.
Note: Items have been flagged in each of these sections to indicate their usefulness to (variously) new users, experienced users, and advanced users of e-survey.
To assist you when using e-survey, use the Survey plan index for reference.
LandXML information in this section:
- LandXML information and reference documents - which provide all the required information to produce compliant LandXML files in survey software and Landonline.
- Impact of illegal characters in LandXML files - information on characters, other than alphanumerics, LandXML will not accept and which result in Landonline not allowing the plan to be worked.
- LandXML FAQs
