Certify & Sign FAQs
A change of password message displayed. I didn't change it and am now unable to complete signing.
The system counts each entry of your password when signing an instrument. This uses up the allocated 'grace' logons and therefore locks you out. It is important to always change your password on the first prompt.
If locked out, contact the LINZ Customer Support team on 0800 ONLINE (0800 665 463).
I changed my password when I logged on but cannot certify and sign an instrument.
The signing part of the system recognises the password change when you re-log into Landonline. If you wish to sign during the first session after changing your password, you must log off and then back on again.
Your password must be between eight and twenty alphanumeric characters. Your password should also contain at least one number, one lower case character and one upper case character.
How does my attorney see the dealings when they need to sign in my absence?
They need to have their own digital certificate which is associated or linked to your firm's licence. This allows them to access your workspace from their computer. When they log on they would get a choice of which firm's licence they want to work with.
Does changing a Conveyancing Professional in the firm also include attorneys?
As long as the attorney is linked to your licence, you would not need to change the Create Dealing screen. They can access the dealing through the All Work folder under the name of the CP entered for the dealing.
