Search within (dropdown menu)
You can use the ‘Search within’ dropdown menu to
restrict your search to a particular area of the website, eg the Registered user
section. This box can only be used in conjunction with one of the other
boxes.
With all of the words
Use this box to find pages
that only contain all the words that you enter.
E.g. digital
certificate renewing
With the exact phrase
Use this box to
search for a phrase. Only pages containing the exact phrase you enter will be
returned. There is no need to enclose your phrase in double quotes.
E.g.
software for using Landonline
With at least one of the words
Use this box to find pages containing any one of the words that you
enter. This is quite a broad search which may give a large number of
results.
e.g. windows system
Without the words
To
exclude words from your search enter the word or words in this box.
‘Without the words’ is usually used in combination with one or more
of the other boxes to narrow down the search.
e.g. upgrade in
‘Without the words’ and software for using Landonline in the
‘With the exact phrase’ box
Combining search words and
boxes
You can enter words in a combination of one or more of the
boxes in the Advanced Search to narrow your search.
e.g. Choose Sign-up
on the ‘Search Within’ pulldown and digital certificate in the
‘With all of the words’ box to search for digital certificates in
the Sign-up section of the site.
