Secondary Parcel Networks (including Centreline Parcels)

PROVISIONAL SECONDARY NETWORK

There will be gaps between parcels in this network. Within a survey, each provisional secondary parcel must only overlap one provisional primary parcel (ie easements must be divided into separate parcels where they intersect with primary boundaries). Also within a survey, there must be no overlaps of provisional secondary parcels (ie easements must also be divided into separate parcels where they intersect with other easement boundaries). Between surveys, overlaps between provisional secondary parcels can occur, for example, if there is both an unapproved survey definition plan with easements and a separate unapproved easement plan which is not required to identify overlaps with other easements.

APPROVED SECONDARY NETWORK

There will be gaps between parcels in this network. Within a survey, each approved secondary parcel must only overlap one approved primary parcel (ie easements must be divided into separate parcels where they intersect with primary boundaries). Also within a survey, there must be no overlaps of approved secondary parcels (ie easements must also be divided into separate parcels where they intersect with other easement boundaries). Between surveys, overlaps between approved secondary parcels may occur (eg if there is both an approved survey definition plan with easements and a separate approved easement plan which is not required to identify overlaps with other easements).

LIVE SECONDARY PARCEL NETWORK

There will be gaps between parcels in this network and there may be overlaps of live secondary parcels if one or more came from an easement plan. Each approved secondary parcel must only overlap one approved primary parcel (ie easements must be divided into separate parcels where they intersect with primary boundaries). In special cases where this is not the case for a particular easement (eg for an existing appurtenant easement being brought forward that crosses primary boundaries, then it must be designated as a tertiary parcel - not a secondary parcel).

Where a live secondary parcel lies entirely within the extents of an underlying live primary parcel (eg some covenants) there may be no common boundary points between the parcels. In most circumstances, for example, easements, are partially bound by the extents of an underlying live primary parcel and the common boundary points and lines defining these bounds will appear in both the live primary and live secondary networks.
