Live Primary Network

The live primary network of parcels which cover the cadastre of New Zealand (out to the 12 mile limit) must have no gaps or overlaps. Every live parcel boundary line (except those marking the 12 mile limit itself) must be contained within the parcel topology of exactly two live primary parcels. If a live primary boundary line is only in the definition of one parcel, this means that on the other side of this line there must be a hole in the cadastral fabric.

Neighbouring live primary parcels must have the same topology along their common boundaries to ensure no gaps and overlaps (sliver parcels).
