TOPOLOGY

Topology describes how points, lines and polygons are connected to each other. It is not really concerned with shapes or geometry (Refer Topology vs Geometry). The two shapes below have the same topology, having four points joined by four lines to form a polygon.

Parcel topology describes how boundary nodes (points) and lines are connected to form parcels (polygons).

Observation connectivity describes how observations (including boundary dimensions) also connect points with lines.
