SURVEYOR'S CERTIFICATION

Certification of an e-survey under Landonline Stage Two has the same intent as the current manual form of signing the plan and supporting documents. Rule 3B of the Surveyor-General's Rules outlines the duties of surveyors and clearly relates the act of certification to these.

In the digital environment of Landonline Stage Two the surveyors digital certificate is utilised in the signing process to uniquely identify the person signing the dataset, and each of its individual components.

The act of certification is achieved by the surveyor entering their Landonline logon details and their digital certificate pass phrase. This creates a unique and non-repudiable stamp relating the surveyor to each component of the dataset.
