SDC: SURVEY-ACCURATE DIGITAL CADASTRE

Many of the elements of New Zealand's cadastre have been digital for some time (eg. the DCDB - Digital Cadastral Database). With the implementation of Landonline, parts of the digital cadastre are being made survey-accurate. Broadly, this means the quality of the relevant survey record satisfies the accuracy requirements as specified by the Surveyor-General's Rules. This facilitates the work of the surveyor in undertaking, transferring, and validating the survey using the intelligence and transportability inherent in the digital data. In the conceptual Survey-accurate Digital Cadastre, surveys would be processed fully digitally.
