PARCEL ROLE

Landonline requires several details to be defined for each parcel referred to in an e-survey. These are:

  • The Action;
  • The Parcel Intent; and
  • The Topology Class.

These three details combine to allow Landonlineto undertake the intended action appropriate for each parcel, resulting in a parcel with an appropriate purpose that is represented in Landonline with the correct format and symbology and integrated into the network.

The Action indicates how the parcel is to impact the existing cadastral fabric. The options are Created, Extinguished, Referenced, Proposed, Encroached and Affected. There is a comprehensive table, explaining parcel actions, in Landonline Help.

The Parcel Intent indicates the purpose of each parcel upon the effecting of the e-survey. Examples are Easement, Fee Simple Title, Legalisation, or Road. There is a comprehensive table of all Parcel Intents with explanations in Landonline Help.

The Topology Class ensures Landonline represents the parcel correctly with respect to all other parcels in the spatial context. Examples of Topology Classes are Primary, Secondary Centreline or Strata. There is a comprehensive table of all topology layer definitions, with descriptions, in Landonline Help. Refer Topology
