IMPORTING EXISTING BOUNDARY LINES USING PROCESSING BALANCE PARCELSUsed for dealing with the remaining land under survey, where there are
no Landonline recorded All land under survey required to be dealt with is enforced in the Surveyor-General's Rules. Balance parcels are not allowed to be created. In Landonline this also applies to coastal, river and legalisation surveys, where previously the surveyor has not dealt with balance parcels. Processing Balance Parcels allows the surveyor to import existing boundaries that are required to make up a newly created parcel for the e-survey. The imported boundaries will not include observations where no authoritative observations have been captured into Landonline. This would be used for the new created parcel that will be of a lower Class of Survey, ie a Class IV Parcel Diagram, than other parcels (eg Class I, II or III) in the same e-survey. If the imported boundaries contain observations (ie where Landonline has an authoritative record) the surveyor would adopt the existing observations using Adopt Observation Sequence. Generally this process would be used for Class I, II and III e-surveys if observations exist. The boundaries imported may include right lines, arcs and irregular boundaries. The process may need to be carried out more than once for an e-survey. Processing balance parcels can be carried out at any time during capture of the e-survey (ie import boundaries) before capturing any old and new marks and observations or importing balance boundaries. Where a new boundary mark intersects and existing boundary line, balance observations will be required in the e-survey. The terminals of the intersected balance lines will be the end marks for the section of balance boundaries to be imported. Not all e-surveys require balance observations. The process automatically places the captured boundaries into the Primary layer. All balance road parcel boundaries require their parcel details to be
captured and specifically identified by the e-survey. The road parcel action
will be Created and the Parcel Intent will be Road. An appellation
or legal description for road is not required and an area should not be
supplied. ![]()
