EXCEPTION PROCESSDuring submission of your e-survey, Landonline applies LINZ Business Rules to test compliance of your e-survey against standards and Landonline information. Most business rules, even if they fail, will allow the survey to be submitted and validated. In the event of a Fatal Business Rule preventing submission, the Exception Process becomes available. This process allows the surveyor to raise an issue with LINZ where it is believed the e-survey is correct and the existing Landonline information is in error, preventing submission. The exception process allows the surveyor to document the fatal error and request LINZ to investigate. LINZ will respond when:
The surveyor cannot electronically cancel the exception process once the request has been sent to LINZ. An e-survey cannot be modified during the exception process. The exception process is only available if your e-survey fails submission due to a fatal error. Conflict or warning and information messages do not enable the exception process to be available. The exception process is not an alternative to validation of the e-survey.
