ENCROACHMENT

Parcels encroached by other parcels are required to be identified inLandonline and included in the Parcel List for your e-survey.

Parcels that have irregular boundaries that, upon re-survey, now extend into the parcel on the opposite side of the stream or river, will have the Action of Created with the Parcel Intent of Fee Simple Title.

The parcel that has been encroached has the Action of Encroached. The encroached parcel will be amended by LINZ upon deposit of the e-survey.

Encroached parcels are the only parcels that overlap in Landonline. The spatial view of Landonline does not show the overlap and always shows the latest parcel view over the overlapped parcel.

Parcels that include accretion in their new definition may affect the shape of the river or stream as it appears in the spatial view. Refer Accretion/Erosion
