Arcs

Landonline requires mathematically complete definition of arcs. This supports the validation checks and allows correct adjustment of the arc observation. The following parameters are required for each section of arc:

• arc distance (also known as arc length)
  
• chord bearing
  
• radius
  
• direction (ie: arc is left or right of the chord).
  

Landonline does not record total arc distances or tangent point details, which are unnecessary where the above information is provided.
