Standard for verification of identity – Frequently Asked Questions updated
In response to customer queries on complying with the Standard for verification of identity for registration under the Land Transfer Act 1952 LINZS20002, FAQs in the A&I required? and Client id and witnessing sections of e-dealing Client A&I form FAQs have been updated and new FAQs have been added.
The FAQs now explain who can witness A&I Forms, how to deal with overseas clients, acceptable and unacceptable client IDs, and other issues on verifying client identity for e-dealings.
The Identification requirements section of Common compliance review issues has also been updated.
We also remind Landonline e-dealing users of recent articles Identity Verification standard – new version in Landwrap March 2011 – Issue 75 and LINZ Identity Verification Standard – Some Points of Clarification in Landwrap August 2011 - Issue 80.
