The LINZ Data Service (LDS) provides free and easy access to LINZ land and seabed spatial data. This includes the entire core Landonline spatial dataset of survey plan reference, survey observation, boundary mark, survey control mark, adjustments parcel and parcel owner information.

These datasets from Landonline are currently updated in LDS on a weekly basis. Updates will soon be made daily, providing you with open access to LINZ’s most up to date survey and title information.

You can download then import data into your CAD system, overlay data in Google Earth, or automatically replicate data into your GIS software using web service feeds for direct analysis and querying.

Try the free service at data.linz.govt.nz. For hints and tips and to stay up to date with data and functional developments, sign up to our mailing list when you register for a LDS account, or follow us on Twitter @LINZLDS.
