Release 3.0 presentations are coming your way...
There's only a few weeks to go until Release 3.0 delivers new functionality for e-dealing. To make sure you're ready for the changes, LINZ and the NZ Law Society's Property Law Section (PLS) will be travelling around the country in April and May to deliver presentations and workshops. We want you to come along and see the new functionality for yourselves.
The presentations will give a strategic overview of the new functionality and are targeted towards conveyancing partners. The workshops will be more practical with people being given the opportunity to work through the updated e-dealing Practice Tool and are targeted towards legal executives who prepare e-dealing transactions.
"The presentations will give people a chance to see the new functionality and, with LINZ and PLS representatives available to answer any questions, we recommend every law firm sends a representative along," says Sharon Cottrell, General Manager Customers Services.
Invitations to the presentations and workshops were sent out at the beginning of March and venues are already filling up. If you haven't yet registered, we recommend you do so as soon as possible to secure a seat at your preferred location. Every firm should send a representative along who can then help train anyone involved in the conveyancing process in their firm.
Lachlan Ross, sole practitioner in Dunedin, was the first person to register for a presentation. "I went to the last round of presentations where I learnt a lot and really enjoyed them," says Lachlan. "I wanted to secure a place at a Release 3.0 presentation so I registered as soon as I received my invitation. I'm looking forward to seeing what the new release has to offer and how it will work for me."

LINZ's Customer Support team are ready for 3.0!
Release 3.0 is just around the corner and while you're preparing to attend the presentations and workshops, our Customer Support Agents are getting ready to answer your calls.
During March, our Customer Support Agents have undergone intense training on the changes that will be coming in with Release 3.0 to enable them to help you with any questions.
Alan Salter, Manager Customer Support, has been attending some of these training sessions. "Training courses for Customer Support have gone really well and the team are confident they'll be able to help customers with the new functionality in Release 3.0. We're all looking forward to a smooth release in April."
While you can ring the Customer Support team on the 0800 number, we encourage you to use the Online Help function in the e-dealing application first. Online Help can be accessed in every screen of e-dealing by selecting the 'Help' button. It contains a wealth of information and is updated for every release with all the new functionality.
When you ring our 0800 number, we'll ask you if you've checked Online Help first. If you're unsure how to use it, or what it contains, our Customer Support team are more than happy to shadow you through the process.
So if you're having trouble with any of the new functionality, look at the Online Help first. If you can't find the answer or are still unsure, call our Customer Support team on 0800 ONLINE (0800 665 463).

Updated training and support material
With Release 3.0 being introduced in April, training materials have been updated to help you become familiar with the new functionality.
To help ensure you're prepared for Release 3.0, here are some of the training and support tools we've developed for you:
Release updates advise you of the changes that can be expected prior to each release. They're great to use in your team meetings so that everyone in your firm who does conveyancing gets some advanced notice of what's happening.
We aim to send updated e-dealing Quick Reference Cards to you in advance of each release. These contain summarised instructions on the new functionality. Extra copies can be printed from this website.
The e-dealing Practice Tool has been updated with new modules to help you become familiar with the new functionality before you complete a 'live' e-dealing. This will be used in the workshops and will also be available on this website to coincide with Release 3.0.
Online Help
You can click the 'Help' button located on each screen within the Landonline application to assist you with the screen you're working on. You can also use Online Help to search topics. We'll be asking you if you've tried this when you call Customer Support for help. In the future, Online Help will be useful when you're dealing with instruments that are processed less regularly.
The e-dealing User Guide is an in-depth manual about the Landonline application and can be found in the e-dealing section of this website.
